Material Types

Choosing the right filament.

Different 3D printing materials suit different jobs. This guide gives a practical starting point; final availability and suitability are confirmed during quoting.

PLA

Good for display models, prototypes, decorative parts, tabletop pieces, and general indoor prints. It prints cleanly and is often the simplest starting choice.

PETG

Useful for practical parts that need more toughness than PLA. It can be a good fit for brackets, organisers, jigs, and functional indoor items.

ABS / ASA

Better suited to stronger parts and warmer environments. ASA can be useful for outdoor pieces, but these materials need more controlled printing conditions.

TPU

A flexible material for grips, feet, bumpers, gaskets, and parts that need some give. It is not the right choice for rigid structural pieces.

Specialist Filaments

Options such as silk, matte, wood-filled, carbon-filled, glow, or multi-colour materials can change the look or properties of a print, depending on the job.

Not Sure?

If you do not know what material you need, describe how the part will be used. Strength, detail, heat, flexibility, and finish matter more than guessing a filament name.
