FAQ
Useful answers before you request a quote.
A quick guide to files, materials, quantities, replacement parts, local delivery, and how Edinburgh-area quote requests are reviewed.
Can I provide my own 3D model file?
Yes. You can upload a model file with your quote request, and it will be checked before the quote is confirmed.
What file formats will be accepted?
The quote form accepts STL, 3MF, OBJ, STEP/STP, and ZIP files up to 25 MB.
What materials and colours are available?
Material and colour options depend on the job and current stock. If you are not sure what to choose, describe how the part will be used and a suitable option can be discussed during the quote.
Can you make replacement parts?
Replacement parts may be possible depending on size, design, fit, strength, heat exposure, and intended use. Safety-critical parts should be reviewed carefully.
Can you produce multiple copies?
Yes, small-batch production can be quoted. Quantity, consistency, finish, and lead time are reviewed for each job.
Do you offer design or modelling?
Basic advice may be possible during a quote, but full design or modelling work depends on the project. If you need design help, include that in your request.
Can you print copyrighted characters or branded designs?
Projects involving copyrighted, trademarked, or licensed designs need permission from the rights holder. Unlicensed protected work cannot be offered as a product.
Do you work outside Edinburgh?
The current focus is the Edinburgh area. Collection or local delivery options can be discussed as part of the quote.
